CURIOUS FINDS FROM JAPAN
Good things.
Worth finding.
Curated curiosities and emerging finds from Japan. We’re looking for distinctive goods that US shoppers might otherwise miss, and doing the work to understand how to source them. Prelaunch. Nothing is available to order.
01The idea
Some of the most interesting finds take a little digging. We’re building Morimiku to bring curious US shoppers closer to unusual objects, new releases and clever everyday ideas from Japan.
02An open-minded search
Curiosity has no aisle.
Home goods, carry pieces, desk tools and oddities that resist a category. The discoveries themselves will shape our first collection.
- 01At homeThoughtful kitchen tools, small comforts, and useful objects for daily rituals.
- 02Out & aboutCarry goods and everyday accessories with a good idea tucked inside.
- 03On your deskStationery, paper, and small tools that make room for better work and play.
- 04Something unexpectedUnusual objects, small oddities, and discoveries you didn’t know to look for.
Areas of interest, not an available catalog. Products and brands are still being researched. Nothing is available to order.
03How we plan to choose
A good find needs a closer look.
We look for promising finds beyond the usual US shopping routes. Then we take a closer look at the product and the practical work of bringing it here.
Read our approach- 01
Find the interesting part.
What’s new? What’s gathering interest in Japan? What makes an object useful or surprising? We want to explain why a find is worth your attention.
- 02
Get the details right.
Dimensions, materials, care, and country of manufacture matter. A Japanese brand and a product made in Japan are not always the same thing.
- 03
Make sure the offer makes sense.
Sourcing, sample checks, pricing, and delivery arrangements need to be settled before any product becomes available to order.
04Where we are now
The first chapter is still being written.
Morimiku is in development. We're researching products and working through the practical details of opening an online shop for US customers. We plan to keep small stock and pack and ship it ourselves.
Shipping & returns (draft)Can I order something yet?
No. This is a prelaunch site. Nothing is available to order, and there is no checkout, waitlist, or preorder.
When will the shop open?
We have not set a date. We will only open once the assortment, sourcing, and fulfillment details are settled.
Will every product be made in Japan?
Not necessarily. We are curating Japanese goods, and some Japanese brands manufacture elsewhere. We plan to verify and state the origin of each product before it is offered.
